Make the most of your Easter Days Off! Brisbane has the most picturesque, spectacular destinations just a car trip away.. But the question is, where should we spend our valuable days off? Here’s the top 5 places to visit this break!

Grab the 4WD drive (or hire one) and enjoy the drive along the beach or through the water. Fraser Island is home to the iconic Maheno Ship Wreck, the vibrantly-coloured Pinnacles and Lake McKenzie, which boasts the same silica sand as Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays. Just don’t be fooled by the dingo’s.. they may look adorable but they will eat your snacks!
2. Moreton Island
Just an hour away by ferry, this island is such a beautiful destination for snorkeling. This island has everything from pristine blue waters and beaches, lush rain forests and sand dune for the thrill! Moreton Island is the perfect day trip or weekend stay-cay for lovers of the outdoors.
3. Burleigh Heads
Slap on some sunscreen, grab the surfboard and take a short 40–60 minute trip to Burleigh Heads. Burleigh has everything from small clothing boutiques, breathtaking beaches and cute cafes. Don’t forget to check out Burleigh markets if you are there on a Sunday.
4. Noosa Hinterland
Looking for a more quiet, peaceful escape? Why not pitch a tent near the lakeside camping ground in Noosa Hinterland? Take a moment away to drift down to the tranquil lake in a beautiful canoe or Kayak. Or horse ride through the Noosa trails to see the amazing bird life and wildlife.
5. North Stradbroke Island
If hitting up a beach or getting your hike on sounds like your perfect Easter break, then Straddie is your destination! Point Lookout serves as an excellent spot to watch the yearly humpback whales. Then after, head to the sand dunes to try sand-boarding and don’t forget to pop in at the iconic ‘Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel’ for their famous beer and parmy.
6. Byron Bay, New South Whales
In Byron Bay, you’re going to see that everyone seems a little more carefree and stress-free. People will be fresh from the surf with sand in their hair and barefooted on the ground. It’s the chilled out vibes and relaxed atmosphere of Byron Bay that also keeps festivals and retreats returning year after year. There’s always something for everyone from yoga retreats for the meditative, to Bluesfest and Splendour in the Grass for the festival heads.
